In Tuesday's league outing, the visiting Sharpsville Blue Devils soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Mercer Mustangs.

The Blue Devils (8-5) will now prepare for their outing against Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA). The Greyhounds go into the District 10 Region 1 outing with a 9-4 record. In their last outing, Wilmington got by West Middlesex (West Middlesex, PA), 7-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Karns City Gremlins (Karns City, PA) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, October 9. Mercer will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Gremlins go into the outing with a 5-9 record after their 5-1 league loss to Clarion-Limestone (Strattanville, PA).
