In Tuesday's league test, the Screven County Gamecocks (Sylvania, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the host McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA), by a count of 15-0.

Next, the Gamecocks meet the Bulloch Academy Gators (Statesboro, GA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, October 10. Screven County will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Gators go into the test with a 12-4 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Robert Toombs Christian Academy (Lyons, GA).

The Buccaneers (5-17) will now prepare for their test against Claxton (Claxton, GA). The Tigers go into the 1A D-II Region 3 test with a 6-11 record. In their last test, Claxton was routed by Jenkins County (Millen, GA), 5-4, in a league test.
