The Wheeling Wildcats edged the visiting Elk Grove Grenadiers volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Tuesday's league game.

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, October 9. Wheeling will attempt to advance on its 14-11 season record. The Eagles go into the game with a 7-15 record after their 2-0 league loss to Hinsdale South (Darien, IL).

The Grenadiers (9-13) will now prepare for their game against Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL). The Huskies go into the Mid-Suburban game with a 10-11 record. In their last game, Hersey was edged by Rolling Meadows (Rolling Meadows, IL), 2-1, in a league game.
