New Mexico Military Institute Colts (Roswell, NM) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, New Mexico Military Institute advances its record to 9-5 on the season. The Colts travel to Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM) to face the SonBlazers in a non-league test on Thursday, October 10. The SonBlazers go into the test with a record of 11-3. Mesilla Valley Christian School lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Legacy Academy (Albuquerque, NM)

The Eagles now sport a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountainair for a 1A District 3 test on Thursday, October 10. Hondo Valley will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Corona/Vaughn (Corona, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-11.
