In Tuesday's league challenge, the host New Kent Trojans volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Tabb Tigers.

Match Summary
The NK Lady Trojans swept the Tabb Tigers for the second time in the 2024 season. In set 1, NK took an 8-1 lead, though the Tabb closed to within one point at 16-15. The Lady Trojans rallied, opening their lead by a point, then two before winning the set 25-18. Again in set 2, NK took the early lead 7-0. This time, New Kent never allowed their lead to drop below 3 points, winning the set 25-16 with a 10 to 6 point surge at the end. NK's offense was led by their outside hitters, senior Fallon Greenawalt with 13 Ks and freshman Carly Sachs with 8 Ks. The other frontrow players, Ava Nieto, Kendall White, and Leah Rounds, contributed 6 Ks each. Setter Mackenzie Loveland ran the offense with 33 assists and led the serving game with 4 aces. Also contributing to the offense's success were passers Greenawalt, Abby McLaughlin, Carly Sachs, and Chloe Phillips, who contributed 18, 16, 13, and 4 passes, respectively. Greenawalt & McLaughlin contributed 13 digs each, while Loveland added 11.
