The Oxford Wolverines volleyball squad (Oxford, CT), was edged 3-2 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Waterbury Career Academy Spartans (Waterbury, CT)

With the win, Waterbury Career Academy improves its record to 7-5 on the season. The Spartans travel to Watertown (Watertown, CT) to encounter the Indians in a Naugatuck Valley battle on Thursday, October 10. The Indians go into the battle with a record of 4-8. Watertown lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Holy Cross (Waterbury, CT)

The Wolverines now own a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Derby for a Naugatuck Valley battle on Thursday, October 10. Oxford will encounter a Red Raiders squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT). The Red Raiders record now stands at 5-10.
