California High School Flag Football - Costa Mesa tops Katella

October 8, 2025: Costa Mesa, CA 92626

The Costa Mesa Mustangs flag football squad scored 13 points and limited the visiting Katella Knights to 0 in the Mustangs league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now hold a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buena Park for a challenge on Monday, October 13. Costa Mesa will face a Coyotes team coming off a 50-12 league win over Ocean View (Huntington Beach, CA). The Coyotes record now stands at 13-8.

The Knights (5-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Garden Grove (Garden Grove, CA). The Argonauts go into the non-league challenge with a 11-11 record.
