The Rainier Columbians held off the host Tillamook Cheesemakers soccer team by a tally of 2-1 in Wednesday's league game.

Next, the Columbians face the Oregon Episcopal Aardvarks (Portland, OR) in a 3A/2A/1A-SD1 Special District 1 game, on Tuesday, October 14. Rainier will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record.

The Cheesemakers (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Seaside (Seaside, OR). The Seagulls go into the 4A Cowapa bout with a 3-5 record. In their last bout, Seaside nudged St. Helens (St. Helens, OR), 3-0, in a league bout.
