New Mexico High School Soccer - Sandia knocks off Santa Fe

The Sandia Matadors soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Santa Fe Demons to 0 in the Matadors league win on Wednesday.

Next, the Matadors face the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 2 contest, on Saturday, October 11. Sandia will attempt to advance on its 5-10 season record. The Bears enter the contest with a 10-4 record after their 5-0 league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM).

The Demons (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Capital (Santa Fe, NM). The Jaguars go into the 5A District 2 challenge with a 3-11 record. In their last challenge, Capital was overwhelmed by Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM), 15-0, in a league challenge.
