Amelia County Raiders (Amelia Court House, VA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Prince Edward County lost by Buckingham (Buckingham, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars play the Cumberland Dukes (Cumberland, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 14. Nottoway will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record. The Dukes go into the game with a 7-4 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Buckingham (Buckingham, VA).
