In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting East Gaston Warriors volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the South Point Red Raiders.

The Warriors (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Storm go into the test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, Stuart W. Cramer nudged Shelby (Shelby, NC), 2-0, in a league test.

The Red Raiders now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forestview for a non-league test on Thursday, October 9. South Point will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-10.
