Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 9-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Patton moves its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC) to clash with the Hilltoppers in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A test on Monday, October 13. The Hilltoppers come into the test with a record of 2-12. R-S Central lost 4-0 in their recent league test against Chase (Forest City, NC)

The Wildcats now sport a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they host East Rutherford for a Western Piedmont 3A/4A bout on Monday, October 13. Draughn will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 4-2 league loss to West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 8-8.
