Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Ridgewood Maroons (Ridgewood, NJ) and the host Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ), saw Ridgewood's soccer squad hold off Hackensack by a score of 2-1.

The Maroons (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against Somerville (Somerville, NJ). The Pioneers come into the non-league test with a 4-8 record.

The Comets now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Teaneck for a North Bergen 2 test on Friday, October 10.
