Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC) and the host Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles (Asheboro, NC), saw Jordan-Matthews's soccer squad triumph over Uwharrie Charter Academy by a count of 5-0.
The Jets (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against North Moore (Robbins, NC). The Mustangs enter the Four Rivers 3A/4A match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, North Moore nipped Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC), 6-5, in a league match.
The Eagles now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwood for a Four Rivers 3A/4A match on Monday, October 13. Uwharrie Charter Academy will meet a Chargers team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Southern Alamance (Graham, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 7-5.
