With the triumph, Union moves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Pender (Burgaw, NC) to meet the Patriots in a non-league test on Thursday, October 9. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 5-9. Pender lost 3-1 in their recent league test against East Duplin (Beulaville, NC)

The Leopards now sport a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they host East Columbus for a Carolina 1A/2A test on Wednesday, October 15.
