The Carmel Rams volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Peekskill Red Devils to 0 in the Rams league win on Wednesday.
Next up, the Rams confront the Haldane Blue Devils (Cold Spring, NY) in a non-league game, on Monday, October 20. Carmel will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record.
The Red Devils (6-11) will now prepare for their game against Greeley (Chappaqua, NY). The Quakers come into the Section 1 Conference 1 - D outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Greeley defeated Peekskill (Peekskill, NY), 3-0, in a league outing.
Match Summary
Our match started with a Senior Night ceremony for the Carmel Seniors. They also provided recognition and flowers for our Peekskill Seniors, which was very much appreciated.
Our Peekskill team battled well, holding their heads high and giving their all in the contest. Although Carmel had many runs, Peekskill had a fair share of runs ourselves, making made our presence felt! Both Audrina Mendez and Khylee Capozzelli had powerful attacks and left a sting., Our block gave our opponents something to think about. Overall, it was a good match.
