California High School Volleyball - Verdugo Hills can't hold off Chavez

October 8, 2025: San Fernando, CA 91340

In Wednesday's league match, the Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA) volleyball team held off the visiting Verdugo Hills Dons (Tujunga, CA), by a margin of 3-2.

The Eagles now possess a 9-11 record. They play next when they travel to North Hollywood for a East Valley bout on Monday, October 13.

With the loss, Verdugo Hills drops to 5-8 on the campaign. The Dons travel to Arleta (Arleta, CA) to clash with the Mustangs in a East Valley contest on Thursday, October 9. The Mustangs enter the contest with a record of 12-1. Arleta won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Monroe (North Hills, CA)
