In Monday's non-league battle, the visiting Alexander Central Cougars soccer squad scored a close 2-0 triumph over the Ashe County Huskies.
The Cougars (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers come into the non-league battle with a 10-3 record. In their last bout, Watauga tipped South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 4-1, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Huskies battle the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, October 11. Ashe County will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 15-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC).
