The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA) and the visiting Elizabeth Bulldogs (Cudahy, CA), saw Marquez's volleyball squad beat Elizabeth by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Marquez upgrades its record to 8-6 on the year. The Gladiators travel to Sotomayor (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Wolves in a bout on Thursday, October 12. The Wolves go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Sotomayor won 2-1 in their recent league bout against Torres (Los Angeles, CA)

The Bulldogs now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Torres for a bout on Thursday, October 12. Elizabeth will play a Toros squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Maywood CES (Maywood, CA). The Toros record now stands at 9-6.
