The Lunenburg Central Chargers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Mecklenburg County Phoenix to 1 in the Chargers non-league victory on Monday.
The Chargers now possess a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Randolph-Henry for a non-league game on Tuesday, October 10. Lunenburg Central will meet a Statesmen team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Cumberland (Cumberland, VA). The Statesmen record now stands at 6-5.
The Phoenix (11-3) will now prepare for their game against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Warriors enter the game with a 11-6 record. In their last game, Magna Vista nipped Staunton River (Moneta, VA), 2-0, in a non-league game.
