The Surry Central Golden Eagles volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Mount Airy Granite Bears to 0 in the Golden Eagles non-league victory on Monday.
The Golden Eagles now have a 3-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Surry for a non-league game on Tuesday, October 10. Surry Central will confront a Greyhounds team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 14-6.
The Granite Bears (0-17) will now prepare for their game against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Buckin' Elks enter the non-league game with a 11-9 record. In their last game, Elkin dropped by Carson (China Grove, NC), 2-0, in a non-league game.
