The West Stanly Colts topped the visiting Union Academy Cardinals volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Monday's non-league test.
The Colts now have a 18-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Piedmont for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 11. West Stanly will confront a Panthers team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 15-4.
The Cardinals (3-12) will now prepare for their test against Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Tigers enter the non-league test with a 14-6 record. In their last test, Mount Pleasant gained a win over North Stanly (New London, NC), 2-1, in a non-league test.
