The crowd at Monday's league test between the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) and the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), saw Alexander Central's soccer squad knock off Ashe County by a margin of 5-3.

The Cougars now sport a 10-3 record. They play next when they host Watauga for a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Wednesday, October 11. Alexander Central will meet a Pioneers squad coming off a 3-1 league win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 6-10.

With the loss, Ashe County drops to 3-10 on the season. The Huskies travel to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to meet the Panthers in a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Wednesday, October 11. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 13-2. Hibriten won 4-0 in their recent league test against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
