Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Trojans confront the George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, October 11. Mount Desert Island will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 5-0 league win over Orono (Orono, ME).

The Hawks now have a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they host Hampden for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 11. Hermon will confront a Broncos team coming off a 8-0 league loss to Camden Hills (Rockport, ME). The Broncos record now stands at 2-8.
