The Magna Vista Warriors volleyball team (Ridgeway, VA), was dropped 3-1 in Monday's non-league challenge with the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA)

The Golden Eagles (6-10) will now prepare for their challenge against William Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Terriers enter the Blue Ridge challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, William Byrd was dropped by Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Warriors meet the Mecklenburg County Phoenix (Baskerville, VA) in a Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, October 10. Magna Vista will attempt to move on its 7-10 season record. The Phoenix enter the challenge with a 14-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA).
