California High School Flag Football - Esperanza nudges El Dorado

In Wednesday's league match, the host Esperanza Aztecs flag football squad scored a close 21-19 victory over the El Dorado Golden Hawks.

The Aztecs (13-10) will now prepare for their match against Crean Lutheran (Irvine, CA). The Saints enter the match with a 15-9 record. In their last match, Crean Lutheran was nudged by Cypress (Cypress, CA), 13-6, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Golden Hawks confront the Foothill Knights (Santa Ana, CA) in a non-league match, on Monday, October 14. El Dorado will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 5-14 record after their 34-20 non-league loss to Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA).
