The Hickory Hawks volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Western Branch Bruins to 0 in the Hawks league triumph on Wednesday.

The Hawks now possess a 12-0 record. They play next when they host Lakeland for a non-league outing on Wednesday, October 16. Hickory will play a Cavaliers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Western Branch drops to 6-6 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Grizzlies in a outing on Wednesday, October 9.
