Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM) and the visiting Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM), saw Piedra Vista's soccer squad knock off Farmington by a count of 4-1.

The Panthers (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM). The Hawks enter the 5A District 1 battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, Volcano Vista tipped Cibola (Albuquerque, NM), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Scorpions battle the Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) in a 5A District 1 battle, on Saturday, October 12. Farmington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 13-2 record after their 1-0 league win over Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM).
