In Wednesday's league outing, the visiting Grimsley Whirlies soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Southwest Guilford Cowboys.
The Whirlies (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against Page (Greensboro, NC). The Pirates go into the Metro 4A outing with a 4-11 record. In their last outing, Page was edged by Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 2-1, in a league outing.
Next up, the Cowboys play the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) in a Metro 4A outing, on Monday, October 14. Southwest Guilford will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Vikings go into the outing with a 13-1 record after their 2-1 league win over Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC).
