In Wednesday's league outing, the host Mount Airy Granite Bears soccer squad scored a nice 9-0 victory over the South Stokes Sauras.

The Granite Bears (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams go into the Northwest 1A outing with a 9-4 record. In their last outing, Starmount prevailed over North Stokes (Danbury, NC), 9-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Sauras play the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Northwest 1A outing, on Monday, October 14. South Stokes will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Cardinals go into the outing with a 1-16 record after their 10-0 league loss to Elkin (Elkin, NC).
