Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC), 7-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Pender advances its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC) to clash with the Vikings in a Waccamaw 1A/2A test on Thursday, October 10. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 0-8. West Columbus lost 9-0 in their recent league test against Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC)

The Stallions now have a 2-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Columbus for a Waccamaw 1A/2A test on Monday, October 14. South Columbus will clash with a Gators team coming off a 5-1 league loss to East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC). The Gators record now stands at 1-9.
