Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) and the host Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC), saw Southwestern Randolph's soccer squad triumph over Providence Grove by a count of 8-0.

The Cougars (16-0) will now prepare for their battle against Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC). The Trojans enter the non-league battle with a 15-2 record. In their last battle, Wesleyan Christian Academy notched a victory over Calvary Day School (Winston-Salem, NC), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Patriots battle the Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 15. Providence Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a 7-8 record after their 2-1 league win over North Rowan (Spencer, NC).
