In Wednesday's league challenge, the host East Bladen Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the West Columbus Vikings.

The Eagles (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Wolfpack come into the Waccamaw 1A/2A challenge with a 16-2 record. In their last challenge, Whiteville beat Pender (Burgaw, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Vikings play the Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC) in a Waccamaw 1A/2A challenge, on Thursday, October 10. West Columbus will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 3-2 league win over South Columbus (Tabor City, NC).
