Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans (Edison, NJ) and the host South River Rams (South River, NJ), observed St. Thomas Aquinas's volleyball team hold off South River by a tally of 2-1.

The Trojans (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against West Orange (West Orange, NJ). The Mountaineers enter the non-league contest with a 7-9 record. In their last contest, West Orange was tipped by West Essex (North Caldwell, NJ), 2-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Rams meet the Carteret Ramblers (Carteret, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 10. South River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record. The Ramblers enter the contest with a 6-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Highland Park (Highland Park, NJ).
