The Artesia Bulldogs edged the visiting Lovington Wildcats soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now hold a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Goddard for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 14.

With the loss, Lovington moves to 2-8 on the year. The Wildcats travel to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Sartans in a non-league contest on Saturday, October 11. The Sartans enter the contest with a record of 10-1. St. Pius X lost 1-0 in their recent non-league contest against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM)
