With the win, Halifax County advances its record to 13-4 on the season. The Comets travel to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA) to face the Trojans in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 14. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 15-0.

Next, the Phoenix play the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, October 14. Mecklenburg County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Bassett (Bassett, VA).
