West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the visiting Olympic Trojans (Charlotte, NC), 2-1 in a league outing.

The Wolverines (17-1) will now prepare for their outing against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks go into the non-league outing with a 4-10 record. In their last outing, Mallard Creek was edged by North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC), 3-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Trojans play the Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC) in a Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A outing, on Tuesday, October 14. Olympic will attempt to improve on its 11-6 season record. The Chargers go into the outing with a 8-7 record after their 1-0 league loss to West Cabarrus (Concord, NC).
