In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Albemarle Patriots volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Orange County Fighting Hornets.

The Patriots (10-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Mustangs come into the Jefferson challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Monticello was beaten by Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Fighting Hornets face the Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA) in a Jefferson test, on Wednesday, October 15. Orange County will attempt to improve on its 0-16 season record. The Black Knights go into the test with a 4-13 record after their 3-0 league loss to Goochland (Goochland, VA).
