The Hettinger/Scranton Black Devils volleyball squad (Hettinger, ND), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting Belfield Bantams (Belfield, ND)

The Bantams (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Beach (Beach, ND). The Buccaneers enter the non-league contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, Beach got by Bowman County co-op [Bowman/Rhame] (Bowman, ND), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Black Devils meet the Mott-Regent Wildfire (Mott, ND) in a B - Region 7 contest, on Tuesday, October 14. Hettinger/Scranton will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Wildfire go into the test with a 12-5 record after their 3-1 league loss to Glen Ullin/Hebron (Glen Ullin, ND).
