Birch Run Panthers (Birch Run, MI) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Freeland Falcons (Freeland, MI), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers (23-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley Lutheran (Saginaw, MI). The Chargers go into the non-league test with a 32-5 record. In their last test, Valley Lutheran was defeated by Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, MI), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Falcons now own a 19-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Michigan Lutheran Seminary for a non-league test on Thursday, October 9. Freeland will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Breckenridge (Breckenridge, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-12.
