Colorado High School Volleyball - Mullen can't hold off Cherokee Trail

October 9, 2025: Aurora, CO 80016

In Thursday's league bout, the Cherokee Trail Cougars (Aurora, CO) volleyball team held off the visiting Mullen Mustangs (Denver, CO), by a margin of 3-2.

The Cougars now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Arapahoe for a 5A/4A Centennial bout on Tuesday, October 21. Cherokee Trail will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Monarch (Louisville, CO). The Warriors record now stands at 10-9.

The Mustangs (13-3) will now prepare for their match against Smoky Hill (Aurora, CO). The Buffaloes enter the 5A/4A Centennial match with a 9-11 record. In their last match, Smoky Hill held off Overland (Aurora, CO), 3-0, in a league match.
