The Columbia Eagles volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Salem Wildcats to 0 in the Eagles league triumph on Thursday.
The Eagles now have a 23-1 record. They play next when they travel to Roxana for a Cahokia (Mississippi Division) outing on Tuesday, October 14. Columbia will confront a Shells squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Jersey (Jerseyville, IL). The Shells record now stands at 7-19.
The Wildcats (14-9) will now prepare for their game against East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Oilers go into the Cahokia (Mississippi Division) game with a 2-23 record. In their last outing, East Alton-Wood River was topped by Freeburg (Freeburg, IL), 2-0, in a league outing.
