The Dixie Heights Colonels volleyball squad (Edgewood, KY), was defeated 3-0 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Simon Kenton Pioneers (Independence, KY)

The Pioneers (17-10) will now prepare for their contest against Conner (Hebron, KY). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 21-7 record. In their last contest, Conner beat Boone County (Florence, KY), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Colonels meet the Cooper Jaguars (Union, KY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 14. Dixie Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Jaguars enter the contest with a 10-17 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY).
