In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Early College Sharks volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Wilson Magnet Wildcats.

The Sharks (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Gates Chili (Rochester, NY). The Spartans enter the non-league challenge with a 0-11 record. In their last challenge, Gates Chili was tipped by Churchville-Chili (Churchville, NY), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats face the Young Women's College Prep Griffins (Rochester, NY) in a non-league test, on Thursday, October 16. Wilson Magnet will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Griffins go into the test with a 0-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Rochester Prep (Rochester, NY).
