Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) and the visiting Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV), observed Lewis County's volleyball team top Grafton by a count of 3-0.

The Minutemen (12-10) will now prepare for their battle against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Spartans go into the non-league battle with a 13-9 record. In their last battle, Greenbrier East dropped by Herbert Hoover (Elkview, WV), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Bearcats now own a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ritchie County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 14. Grafton will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to St. Marys (St. Marys, WV). The Rebels record now stands at 3-12.
