Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the June Buchanan Crusaders (Pippa Passes, KY) and the host Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers (Oneida, KY), observed June Buchanan's volleyball team top Oneida Baptist Institute by a count of 3-1.

The Crusaders (10-16) will now prepare for their contest against Harlan (Harlan, KY). The Green Dragons enter the non-league contest with a 6-21 record. In their last battle, Harlan was defeated by Harlan County (Harlan, KY), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Mountaineers now own a 2-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jackson County for a District 49 battle on Friday, October 10. Oneida Baptist Institute will encounter a Generals squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to South Laurel (London, KY). The Generals record now stands at 6-13.
