California High School Volleyball - Lincoln edged by University City

University City Centurions (San Diego, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Lincoln Hornets (San Diego, CA), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, University City improves its record to 16-16 on the season. The Centurions travel to Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA) to meet the Patriots in a City - Eastern challenge on Tuesday, October 14. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 21-11. Patrick Henry won 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Point Loma (San Diego, CA)

Next, the Hornets meet the La Sierra Eagles (Riverside, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 11. Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 3-0 league loss to Jurupa Valley (Jurupa Valley, CA).
