The Phillipsburg Panthers volleyball squad (Phillipsburg, KS), was edged 2-1 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Trego Golden Eagles (WaKeeney, KS)

With the win, Trego improves its record to 11-14 on the season. The Golden Eagles host Hoxie (Hoxie, KS) to encounter the Indians in a Mid-Continent battle on Thursday, October 9. The Indians go into the battle with a record of 13-12. Hoxie lost 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Decatur Community (Oberlin, KS)
