Texas High School Football - Amarillo triumphant over Lubbock

November 1, 2024: Lubbock, TX 79401

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) and the host Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX), witnessed Amarillo's football squad wallop Lubbock by a tally of 47-7.

The Sandies (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Tascosa (Amarillo, TX). The Rebels enter the 5A-1 Region I District 2 contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Tascosa crushed Caprock (Amarillo, TX), 42-14, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Westerners battle the Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A-1 Region I District 2 contest, on Friday, November 8. Lubbock will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the contest with a 2-7 record after their 54-14 league loss to Amarillo (Amarillo, TX).
