The Cross County Thunderbirds football squad scored 40 points and limited the visiting Marked Tree Indians to 28 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Friday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Earle for a 2A Region 2 test on Thursday, November 7. Cross County will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 60-0 league win over Izard County (Brockwell, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-5.

With the defeat, Marked Tree drops to 6-3 on the campaign. The Indians host East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR) to meet the Warriors in a 2A Region 2 test on Thursday, November 7. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 6-3. East Poinsett County won 36-30 in their recent league test against Des Arc (Des Arc, AR)
